Sony's Problematic CCD Affects 8 Vendors' Devices

Sony has announced that some devices using their CCD (Charge-Coupled Device) manufactured during October 2002 and March 2004 will run into problems such as distorted images or no images showed at all. These devices range from digital cameras to PDAs and digital/commercial video cameras. Affected companies include Sony, JVC, Canon, Konica Minolta, Ricoh, Fuji film, Nikon, and Olympus.
